“Adam stood up… and predicted whatsoever should befall his posterity unto the latest generation. These things were all written in the Book of Enoch and are to be testified of in due time.”
I have recently read through the Book of Enoch, which is the book I believe the Lord was referring to in Section 107.
I want to share some of the things I learned while reading it.
The first Book of Enoch (or 1 Enoch) has been in the Ethiopic Christian Church since 330 AD, maybe even before that.
I believe that the Ethiopic Christian Church spawned off the true church of God, which was in existence for hundreds of years after Christ’ ascension to heaven— contrary to popular Mormon belief that the apostasy occurred immediately after New Testament times—
The writers of the New Testament even quote passages from the Book of Enoch. It’s the real deal.
Prepare to have your minds blown.
The text has this to say about itself: “it [is] not for this generation to know, but for a remote one which is to come.” 1:2
The generation which is to know the things of The Book of Enoch is this one. However, I don’t think READING the text is what Enoch means. It’s KNOWING the things that the Book of Enoch contains.
The canonized scriptures we have are already more than sufficient enough.
The Book of Enoch is a prophecy of the last days. Understanding the prophecies pertaining to the end-times is something only few understand. A remote generation shall know them.
The text talks about the gathering and the rapture.
The remote generation will understand and believe in the gathering and the rapture. Whether or not they have read the Book of Enoch is irrelevant. Reading the text is nonetheless a worthy endeavor.
It proves many of my controversial beliefs.
My belief that Satan’s angels come and receive bodies is in there.
Scholars have read the text and believe that the angels do not take bodies, but simply come to the earth in their angelic form and have sex with women.
That…. would contradict the Bible and the JST.
One scripture solves the apparent contradiction. Speaking of these angels of heaven that have had sex with the daughters of men, creating demonic children, the Lord says, “they have transgressed the commandment of the Lord in the beginning of their rising, because they did not come out at their proper times.” 18:15
The angels decided to come to the earth earlier than they were supposed to! They did this because they lusted after women which were not designated for them.
This is extremely fascinating to me.
The text also speaks of secret combinations and oaths between Satanic individuals. It talks about how technology was devised by Satan to bring about war.
I highly recommend reading the whole thing.
For right now, I want to show how Enoch prophesied of Joseph Smith and the restoration, the same things that Adam would prophecy of: the things that would befall his posterity down to the last generation. (D&C 107)
Enoch talks about a seven week time period that spans all mankind. It is similar to the seven seals.
I believe the events of each week correspond with all of my writings.
I am now providing excerpts which are all contained in 1 Enoch 93:
Enoch says, “I was born in the end of the first week [where] able judgment and righteousness still endured. And after me there shall arise in the second week great wickedness, and deceit shall have sprung up; and in it there shall be the first end.”
The first end is clearly the flood.
“And in it a man shall be saved.”
“And after [the second week] is ended, unrighteousness shall grow up, and a law shall be made for the sinners.”
Law of Moses.
“And after that in the third week, at its close a man shall be elected as the plant of righteous judgment, and his posterity shall become the plant of righteousness forever more.”
Jesus Christ is the plant, and his posterity are his followers.
“And after that, in the fourth week, at its close, visions of the holy and the righteous shall be seen, and a law for all generations.”
This is referring to the visions that the prophets Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon saw. The law for all generations is the law of the gospel, Section 42, which contains the law of consecration and the law of monogamy.
“And after that, in the fifth week, at its close, the house of glory and dominion shall be built forever.”
The Kirtland House/Temple!
“And after that in the sixth week, all who live shall be blinded… and the whole race of the chosen shall be dispersed.”
This is exactly what I’ve been saying: EVERYONE that is alive has been blinded. They are either blind to the truth of Jesus Christ, or they blindly continue sinning.
Even though Joseph Smith came and built the temple to gather Israel, the whole thing fell apart and the chosen ones have been dispersed throughout the earth!!!!!!!!!
“And after that in the seventh week shall an apostate generation arise.”
This is the apostasy of the LDS church, which occurred in 1835. Without the fulness of the priesthood, the church could not redeem Zion, and began apostate practices such as polygamy. However, there is good news:
“And at its end [it] shall be elected, the elect righteous of the eternal plant of righteousness shall be chosen to receive sevenfold instruction.”
The wheat will be elected to receive further instruction…
Compare that to what Joseph Smith said, “It is not necessary that God should give us all things in His first commission to us, but in His second. John saw the angel deliver the Gospel in the last days. The small lights that God has given are sufficient to lead us out of Babylon; when we get out, we shall have the greater light.” (TPJS 104)
The LDS church was given the first commission. At the end of the seventh week, we will be gathered out of Babylon, and then receive sevenfold instruction for the second commission.
