False Prophets pt. 1 “Denver Snuffer”

D&C 50:2

There are many spirits which are false spirits, which have gone forth in the earth, deceiving the world.

A peculiar quote from Joseph Smith was the idea that every religious tradition has its own distinct spirit that follows it. The Denver Snuffer movement has a very powerful one, and it’s growing stronger and stronger. Evidence for this is found here: http://latterdaywitnesses.com/interview-with-robert-smith-shares-his-life-journey-and-witness-of-christ/

Just as Denver Snuffer saw a false Christ, others are as well now. It used to be only a few individuals, but it’s becoming more and more common. I used to consider DS harmless, but his claims are too bold to continue to ignore. His influence and false-accompanying-spirit is picking up too much traction.

After publishing The Second Comforter, Denver Snuffer has tried to appeal his message to several different groups of people:

First, he went for completely active, Brethren-friendly, LDS members. He did this with his books, “Beloved Enos”, and “Come, Let Us Adore Him.” He was just another LDS member, who happened to have a marvelous experience.

Secondly, he went for Mormons with one foot in the door, and the other on the way out. He released “Removing the Condemnation” and then, of course, “Passing the Heavenly Gift.”

Recently, Denver has apparently reached out to polygamist groups. And now, as of June 29th, 2016, it has been announced– on his website– that the fourth group he will target is, quite simply, Christians.

Denver has in fact unveiled that he has written an entire book designed for mainline Christians. From his site:

The book is an attempt to re-introduce Joseph Smith as an important Christian figure, separate from institutional Mormonism. It is time he became relevant to all Christians, and no longer regarded as the property of Mormonism. The new book should be available on Amazon by early August if anyone is interested.”

Personally, I suspect he will have no such luck in his this endeavour. I believe this for a multiplicity of reasons. I think he is best off appealing to the TBM’s.

Anyone that has ever believed– with all their heart– that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet, is capable of great deception, and is thus susceptible to being deceived once again.

Believers of DS trade crazy for crazy. But the thing is, they are sincere. Yet sincerity has nothing to with the truth. However, they are sincerely trying to follow Christ, which does count for something.

I believe the followers of DS, as well as the followers of some other false prophets, are Terrestrial souls, who belong to Christ at his second coming, even though they were blinded by the craftiness of men. They are Christ’ people– Israel– but they are not of the elect who will be caught up in the cloud.

A DS-inspired blog has itself named “To The Remnant”, which I find ironic, because it truly is a blog for the remnant spoken of in scripture that will be on the earth when Christ and his elect descend to the earth.

The movement of Denver Snuffer has attributed to two great things: the seeing of a false Christ; and a falsely-perceived concept of Joseph Smith.

From ‘To The Remnant’:

Unfortunately, the “saints” stone, cast out, and kill Joseph yet today. Here are some of the ways those who claim to accept Joseph Smith’s mission, instead participate in his assassination:

DS-followers have traded the LDS-church-Joseph for a new Joseph that is just as idealistic and invented!

The truth about Joseph Smith is not easy to grasp. I myself have gone back and forth on to what degree Joseph may have really been innocent of the charges brought against him. I see now that this is a seducing spirit that follows all apostate LDS traditions. Believing in a false Joseph Smith spawns more false beliefs.

In closing, I want to mention what I find most curious about Denver Snuffer. After following his activity for the last three years or so, the most confusing thing to me is his ever-changing thoughts on polygamy and the temple.

The sinking feeling I have is that Denver will bring back polygamy. I think this is bound to occur when he creates his own version of the LDS endowment. After he indoctrinates his followers with new esoteric rituals, there is no telling what may happen.

D&C 50:7

There are hypocrites among you, who have deceived some, which has given the adversary power, but behold such shall be reclaimed.

There is a great many of individuals who have been deceived by the claims of Denver Snuffer, with his false Christ, and seducing spirits. Apparently, such shall be reclaimed. Hopefully, for some at least, this happens in time for them to accept the new and everlasting covenant when it finally returns to the earth. Because Denver Snuffer does not even know what the new and everlasting covenant is, I know that he is a false prophet, and thus can never have seen Christ.

Those that are not reclaimed in time for when the First Elders return to the earth, will be reclaimed at the Second Coming. This is the remnant. They will be sanctified after their pain, which will be brought upon them by the teachings of a false prophet.

“The Role of Women in the Plan of Salvation” pt 1. Women Will Receive the Priesthood…

The Role of Women in the Plan of Salvation” pt 1. Women Will Receive the Priesthood…

However, this is not the priesthood that the LDS church claims a monopoly on. The priesthood contained in the LDS church can never be given to women. The prepatory priesthoods that Mormon males hold are in fact strictly gender related.

Yet in the dispensation of the fulness of times, women will receive the priesthood which is after the order of the Son of God. This is the only priesthood that truly matters in regards to salvation.

The Lord told Emma Smith at the beginning of Joseph Smith’s ministry, that she would be “ordained” under the hand of her husband. (D&C 25:7)

This has nothing to do with the Relief Society, which was established in 1842.

Because the church was rejected of God in September of 1841, the Relief Society has no business in the legitimate church of God. It was not divinely inspired as part of the restoration of all things.

When the kingdom of God is on the earth again, it will be the same organization that existed from 1831 to 1834 under the ministration of the Prophet Joseph Smith.

When Joseph and Emma return to the earth, Joseph will ordain her unto the fulness of the priesthood, just as it was promised in Section 25. Emma will then expound scripture and exhort the church according to revelation. She will be a prophet.

The fulness of the priesthood is this:

A baptism of fire.

The proof of this is found in the Book of Moses 6. When Adam receives a baptism of fire, he is told that he is now, “after the order of him who was without beginning of days or end of years.”

That is the exact same terminology for the Melchizedek priesthood!

The priesthood which the LDS church has is both Aaronic and Patriarachal. Neither of these priesthoods can bring salvation; they are simply ordinations to perform outward ordinances. The Melchizedek priesthood is absolutely necessary to perform SAVING ordinances.

Section 76 explains that we must receive the Holy Spirit of Promise [baptism of fire] by the laying on of hands by someone who has been ordained AND sealed unto that power.

This cannot currently happen in the day and age in which we live.

Everyone in the church has been ordained to the Patriarachal priesthood, which confirms members, but does not actually bestow the gift of the Holy Ghost.

You also cannot be sealed unto the Patriarachal priesthood. This only occurs with the Melchizedek.

No one in the church has been ordained and sealed unto the Melchizedek priesthood, because no one is even being ordained unto it in the first place! The sealing of that priesthood is receiving a baptism of fire after the ordination.

Section 67:14 “In mine own due time, ye shall see and know that which was conferred upon you by the hands of my servant Joseph Smith.”

You cannot receive a baptism of fire, without the proper laying on of hands for it. And the only person that can properly bestow the Gift of the Holy Ghost is someone who has already received the Holy Ghost. They need the gift themselves to receive revelation on who can and cannot receive it.

From 1831 to 1834– with the Melchizedek priesthood on the earth– Joseph Smith was at perfect liberty to ordain anyone to that priesthood, so that they could go on to receive a baptism of fire/the fulness of the priesthood.

But the time to do so was very limited. The church broke the new and everlasting covenant, and fell into apostasy. By God’s will, Joseph did not ordain any women during that three-and-a-half-year gap of time. This was because the Melchizidek priesthood would– in a very subtle manner– be quietly replaced by the Patriarachal priesthood, which obviously only men can hold.

Women were prevented from getting caught in the crossfire of having the priesthood and then not having any priesthood at all. If this were the case, it would be too obvious that the church no longer had the full authority of God, and the church would not have been able to continue forward with a lesser priesthood and prepatory gospel.

Joseph said, “If I should tell you all I know that will come to pass within twelve years, perhaps there would not one of you believe it, and would apostatize from the Church. But I shall let you learn things as they happen, then most likely you will all stand in the Church.”

Clearly, Joseph Smith wanted the church to continue on, even in an apostate condition. It was part of God’s plan. This is why women did not receive the priesthood during the short time it could have been made available to them.

In the final dispensation, which brings in the millenium, the Melchezidek priesthood will return to the earth; and all the righteous, both male and female, will receive fulness of it. We will finally be restored from our lost and fallen state. We will no longer sin.
